Page, having passed matric as an IEB graduate, with multiple distinctions, offers a genuine perspective of an IEB student. Therefore, being able to relate to and understand all of her students while meeting their learning needs. Accompanying her enthusiastic approach is a true love for teaching, which prospers as she develops herself through her students’ success. This comes by studying them to create the best lesson plans, personalised specifically to the students’ interests and learning goals. Her patience, communication skills and commitment offer a great start to anyone’s learning experience.
Page’s classes are thorough and easy to follow through learning techniques and one-on-one time, in which is learner-focused. In the classroom, Page encourages questions and elicits answers from the students. This ensures they develop confidence and knowledge simultaneously. The subjects that Page has chosen to teach are those that she aced in grades 10-12, thus her IEB classes will reflect her own study notes that she used throughout her academic career. However, her lessons are mainly developed by students and what they struggle with, as well as constant testing through activities, in which come together to develop each student’s curriculum.
